I attended Occidental College in the period 1962-1964. During the 1963-64 school year, I formed a band called "The Plague". There were three of us - myself on guitar, Len Fisk on bass, and a third member who was a guitar player whose name escapes me. The business cards were black with white lettering that said something like "The infectious sounds of The Plague"
We only played one or two gigs at the college for mixers, and we weren't very good. But we had a good time, and it was a good learning experience for me. At the time, I had a Fender Stratocaster and Fender Tremolux amplifier. Surf music was, of course, the main style we played.
