I wrote this song for my 30th class reunion held in 1992. My graduating class was small, so it was possible to cram everyone’s first name into this song. I tried to associate each class member’s name with something they did or belonged to in school, and I used the 1962 yearbook as a guide. At the reunion, everyone present was given a tape of the song.
When troubled times come calling, and nothing seems to fit
That’s when you gotta sit right down, stop and reminisce
About a simpler time, when life seemed good and true
Think about some good old friends, you knew back in high school
In that golden year, Nineteen Sixty-Two
