A HUNDRED WAYS

This song was written sometime in the late 1980’s. I believe I wrote it because there was a woman I was attracted too and it was my way of expressing deep emotions and feelings I had at the time. Today, I no longer remember who she was or what she looked like!

I look at you with those chocolate eyes
Ebony hair, skin so white
God protect me from this feeling growing inside
I look at you, I start to shake
Lose track of time I can’t concentrate
Why’d you have to come into my life so late

You’re the girl I’ve wanted all of my life
You’re the woman I never could find
But now I spend my days and my nights too
Dreaming up at least a hundred ways
I could love you

They don’t make girls like you anymore
So sweet and lovely, so soft and warm
Why couldn’t I have met you years before
If I could only go back in time
When you were younger, and so was I
I would have loved you the rest of my life

You’re the girl I’ve wanted all of my life
You’re the woman I never could find
But now I spend my days and my nights too
Dreaming up at least a hundred ways
I could love you
